The show is a series of paintings that are based on the astrological zodiac signs and explore them through Irish landscapes, colour and symbolism. Many of the paintings are inspired by places in County Kerry, including the Devil’s Punchbowl, Torc Waterfall and Killarney House gardens.

Created in County Kerry, the series combines observations of nature with imagination, mythology, and personal interpretation. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the zodiac as a visual journey through Irish landscape, seasons, and human connection to the natural world.

Landscapes of the Zodiac is a touring exhibition.

About the artist:

Aia Leu is a symbolist landscape artist based in Kenmare, County Kerry. Born in 1971 in Formentera, Spain, she spent her childhood between London, India, Nepal, and Switzerland. She comes from an artistic family and is the granddaughter of Swiss artist Eva Aeppli.

Landscapes of The Zodiac will run at Killarney House & Gardens from 9 am – 5 pm, Thursday to Monday’s, from the 16th May to the 23rd June.
