Landscapes of the Zodiac

Landscapes of the Zodiac is a touring art exhibition by artist Aia Leu. The work comprises of oil paintings based on the astrological zodiac signs interpreted through landscape, colour, symbolism, and the natural world including those inspired by local locations such as The Devil’s Punchbowl, Torc waterfall and even Killarney House gardens amongst others.

Created in County Kerry, the series combines observations of nature with imagination, mythology, and personal interpretation. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the zodiac as a visual journey through Irish landscape, seasons, and human connection to the natural world.

About the artist:

Aia Leu is a contemporary visual artist based in Kenmare, County Kerry. Born in Formentera, Spain, she spent her childhood between London, India, Nepal, and Switzerland. She comes from an artistic family and is the granddaughter of Swiss artist Eva Aeppli. Her work is known for combining landscape with symbolism, imagination, and vibrant colour.
